Brief Interpretion
Jesus had written a prophetic letter to the Church in Philadelphia. There are two levels of interpretation to this particular letter. Firstly, the letter identified the Worldwide Church of God as the Church organization that had done the work of God in Philadelphia era. Secondly and lastly, the Church in Philadelphia has a remnant in this end of time, to whom most of the contents of the prophetic letter of Jesus have been fulfilled.
Jesus has a message for the former members of the Worldwide Church of God that have been transformed into the Church (called-out ones) of the Laodiceans. They can restore their Philadelphian identity once they join or make an alliance to the prophesied remnant of the Church in Philadelphia.
Jesus has given the Key of David to the people that are part of the remnant of the Church in Philadelphia. They have no need to repent at all for they have the Key of David that opens the door to the Kingdom of God.
The remnant of the Church in Philadelphia has the power to shut the door that leads to the Kingdom of God to anyone that is unworthy and wicked. You would not be able to enter the Kingdom of God unless you know what the Key of David is all about.
